I am a member of the team Proteus. My role in the team is assisting the scribe and help make minor adjustments to the team minutes, and acting as the presenter for the team. I help to provide some ideas that can assist. 
  • I assist the scribe in making minor adjustments to the team minutes
  • I act as the presenter for the team to share with the class the ideas we have come up with.
  • I provide ideas based on what we are doing that can be used 
  • Did background research on where the Zipline drone is operated and where it can also be used to provide the same quality of service in those places through ChatGPT
  • Prompted ChatGPT to give some background information about the Tiltrotor Propulsion device
  • Researched the Importance of Drones for Fast Medical Deliveries - Prompted ChatGPT to provide me with some reasons why drones are being used worldwide to transport items, in this case, medical items. Chat provided me with pointers such as 'Rapid Response in Emergencies', 'Overcoming Geographic Barriers' and 'Cost-Effective Solutions'.
  • Did further research to elaborate on each of those pointers using Google.
  • Researched the Advancements in Drone Technology - Prompted ChatGPT to provide pointers on how to elaborate the topic as I am unfamiliar with the subject. Chat responded with, Enhanced Autonomy and Navigation, Increased Payload and Range, and Integration with Healthcare systems.
  • I used both Google and ChatGPT to expand on each topic further.
  • Researched the Effects on the Adoption of a Full Tilt-Rotor Design - Prompted ChatGPT to provide me some background information on what a tilt-rotor device is. Apparently, it has been used in some real-life applications on some aircrafts. Also prompted Chat to give me pointers on how to expand the topic.

The Beginning.

“Communication skills are an essential component in the education of engineering students to facilitate not just students’ education but also to prepare them for their future careers.” - Marc Riemer, Faculty of Engineering, Monash University (2007)     I chose this quote because I feel that this quote highlights the importance of communication, and why we have to do it effectively, especially in our careers. In the classroom, learning good communication skills would help students, like myself, to be able to present our ideas more effectively. In the workplace, strong communication skills would allow team members to work together, and ensure that everyone understands their role and what they are supposed to do to reach the desired outcome. The CFM56 is a family of high-bypass turbofan aircraft engines produced by CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between Safran Aircraft Engines and GE Aerospace (CFM International, 2024).
